Mobile internet site lets you send free sms worldwide once you register and earn credits. You can collect credits by creating labels, uploading a photo, fill in certain profile details and invite friends, for example. The sms service is reliable. Advertisments are automatically placed at the bottom of all messages sent, and site is ad-supported too. (Confirmed delivery to the philippines too! :-) )

Seasms have told TextMeFree that their service is not working in the UK and Ireland. Our tests confirm this as well as sms not arriving in Spain. You can send unlimited sms and registration is not required.

CellOp
Cellop is listed under Worlwide as it supports quite a few countries, but not all countries. There are some errors on this site however, for example you can't send a free sms to Vodafone, Spain because the free sms form only accepts phone numbers of 10 digits, and Spanish phone numbers only have 9 digits. At TextMeFree.com we haven't been able to test this service.

This service doesn't seem to work very well, if at all (see the review comments below). At TextMeFree.com we have also tested the site with no messages ever arriving. Just keeping it listed to inform everyone.
