Rummble is free, but not an SMS gateway 4 out of 5 stars

Rummble is free, but it's not really an SMS gateway - you can SMS other Rummble members when you have an account.

You don't need to buy SMS credits - provided you and your friend are on Rummble, you can send all you like.
